English version below.
Y luego me dedicaba a mirar qué pasaba.
Me encantó.
When I was a little girl, when I saw an anthill I used to do something, which I recommend.
Try it.
I would put an almond, or a small piece of bread next to it. Small enough to fit through the hole.
And then I would watch what was happening. Little by little, the ants would pick up that little almond and put it in the anthill. It was really cool how they were getting more and more and the enormous strength they had for being so tiny.
Do you know the best thing of all?
Neither the ants nor I were in any hurry.
But at some point along the way you're filled with rushing, obligations, and anxiety because you don't get there... and you say what wonderful years those were when I had time to look at ants!
I guess it rings a bell. In this western world we are all on a hamster wheel running we don't know where we are going. It is not surprising that yoga, mindfulness and all these trends of oriental wisdom that invite us to stop like a child watching ants, are succeeding as they are doing.
Somehow we need to regain our balance.
Yesterday I met a woman who is dedicated to mindfulness but from a unique perspective.
Her name is Yolanda Herrero Mor and she helps, especially mothers and fathers, to reconcile family, professional and personal life.
Through mindfulness.
I already made my first steps with mindfulness and I loved it.
It helped me to lower my stress levels and be more aware of myself, but talking with Yolanda I realized that there is more to it than that.
That lowering stress levels is great, but this is not about meditating to get some fresh air and go on with the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
This goes beyond that.
This is about gaining internal coherence and making conciliatory decisions so that we don't have to stop every now and then to take a breath.
What can I tell you :)
Her vision of conciliation is much broader and deeper than what we are used to hearing.
And at the same time very practical and liberating.
She is called the human rescuer of the hamster wheel.
And she told me something that will resonate with you a lot.
"Txus, my newsletter is read by a lot of teachers. Because they, along with health workers and mothers, are the ones who suffer the most from Burnout (professional burnout syndrome). Because they spend their days dealing with the emotions of children and people in states of vulnerability."
He explained to me that mindfulness is the most scientifically supported practice to combat burnout and many of the ailments generated by living the prevailing lifestyle.
To order yourself inside and from there, your circumstances are harmonized.
The first thing she proposes is to make a change of mentality so that you can get out of the mirage of doing more to get more.
When you subscribe to her website, she sends you a free sequence of emails called "Operation Conciliatory Mentality".
But it's almost better that she tells you about it because what this woman says is not wasted and the vast majority of the population, struggles every day to achieve the squaring of that circle.
That is why I want you to meet her, because I feel that you will connect with her speech and I believe that what she says will be very useful to you.
Besides, she tells it very well.
At least it seems so to me, but I don't know about you.
That's why I invite you to take a look at his website and you can decide for yourself.
Subscribing is free and if you do it before Sunday, by coming from me in this link:
you will also get a meditation that will help you to disconnect from work when it is time to be present at home.
A very interesting thing to start the course on the right foot, don't you think?
I hope you find it useful.
Best regards
María
PS. The meditation will be sent to all subscribers in the link above on Monday. If you want it, give it now ;).
