Respóndeme a ver si sabes quien soy yo)
Me encantan.
Txus.
Every day I wake up with an idea in my head to write to you. I think that at night my brain must have some kind of reorganization or something, but the fact is that I jump out of bed and I start writing with a lot of inspiration.
I do it with great enthusiasm. And if one day I don't do it, it's like I'm missing something.
When I started writing newsletters I thought I was going to be bad at it. I'm a lifelong science person, you know. But the fact is that I love it and from the comments I get I think people love it too.
One day talking about this with Rocío, who is a friend of mine since I was 8 years old, (which is soon to say) she told me:
-Of course, if you have been writing all your life, don't you remember the letters we used to send each other when we were little and when we were in college?
Rocío is like having a kind of biographer. I have the memory of a fish and she is able to situate in space and time all the teachers and anecdotes from school and high school with millimetric precision. I am very envious of this ability.
So when I don't remember something from my own life, she always comes to the rescue.
The fact is that I do. When she told me about the letters, I remembered. I loved writing as a child and as a teenager. I would go with a crazy illusion to the yellow mailbox to drop the letters and then I would open the one at home with the same illusion to see if I had received an answer.
In fact, I keep those letters and I look at them from time to time.
I love them.
So I guess this newsletter thing is the internet age version of the yellow mailbox. It loses romanticism that it is not on paper, however, it has the advantage that if you are in Argentina, Peru or Vietnam, you can read me anyway, without waiting a thousand years for letter carriers of different races to pass the envelope from one to another.
And that's really cool, because it allows you to contact people you would never have thought of.
So, silly me, I've been writing newsletters for more than 5 years, and 2 of them on a daily basis.
I have found in them a very good method not only of commercial promotion, but also of scientific dissemination, of human communication and, if you want, even of therapy.
When I talk, people respond to me, it makes me crazy excited. When my friends tell me that they have breakfast reading me and that somehow I am present in their lives, I feel very good.
Well, now in my other project, Moresubscribers, I am offering a course in which I teach you everything I have learned about newsletters. If at some point you have thought that you would like to have one, I think it can help you.
If you want to:
Promote a product or service that you give as an entrepreneur or in the company you work for.
Make scientific dissemination
Communicate in a different way with your students
Simply tell the world something that you want to tell.
Here you have a course that can help you:
A hug
