English version below
I have been working with the Aprende con Danio project for 5 years.
Most of my clients have been primary school teachers. I have also had several high school and some university biomedical teachers.
Almost all of them had two things in common:
They were excellent teachers. I have talked a lot with them, I have had videoconferences, and I have gone to schools where I have seen them teaching. I always thought: wow, how they handle themselves with the children, how well they do it, how they can guide the activities, how they understand what I tell them, how they transmit it to the students... How lucky these children are to have these teachers.
They were afraid of science. Not once the project was done, but before. Science attracted them a lot, but they didn't know how to get their hands on it. An eternal pending subject. In fact, one of the things they have valued the most has been the support I have given them: raising simple, approachable, and exciting activities and solving all their doubts.
So, I really enjoy working with such excellent and involved people.
In these years, I have understood that projects like mine, in which someone "from the world of science" collaborates with someone "from the world of teaching" to bring science (really) to the classroom, are essential. I hope I get a lot of competition; I really do.
If you feel that science was something eternally pending in your classes, now is the time to raise it in your school.
You can tell the management that you follow a scientist, that she writes to you every day about her life and other curious things, and that she has some very cool projects and that you can do some of them.
Don't be afraid to come up with new proposals. I have been "the boss" for many years, and I loved it when people came to me proposing solutions (and not problems). It was wonderful.
In September, you can stop, analyze what you are doing, and include new science-related proposals.
There is no excuse for "it doesn't fit in the syllabus"; it is something LOMLOE demands by all its articles.
And now is the best time to plan and buy them. For two reasons: it will give you time to study things slowly. You can organize yourselves, learn it well, plan it?
And the second reason. All projects will go up in price on September 30 at 12 midnight Alicante time.
Throughout September, I will be telling you about each of my proposals. But if you want, you can see them in this link:
Some of these projects are translated into English. Others can be translated if there is sufficient demand. So if you are interested in any of them, let me know by replying to this email.
Most of these projects can also be done at home with your children. When you were little, nobody introduced you to science in an attractive way, and that makes you angry. If you would like to do it in a different way with your children, then take a look at the blue button.
A big hug
María
