English version below
Juanillo:
-Pásalo bien en Tailandia
Yo:
Yo (espeluznada)
- 😱😱😱😱 de verdad???????????????
¡¡¡Mis pobres suscriptores no van a poder soportar este vaivén emocional!!!
-¡Juanillo, tío, que ya no hay arroz!
Juanillo
-Tranquila, los encontrarás. A algún sitio habrán ido. Confio en tí.
Tráeme pasta de curri.
Yo (aún en shock)
-Vale.
Juanillo:
-Gracias.
Juanillo:
-Have a good time in Thailand
Me:
-Thanks, let's see if I see any Danio. Uncle, I'm going to take even the test strips to test the water in the rice fields.
Juanillo:
- I looked for it in Nepal and didn't see anything. In that way, of course. Laughing with my colleagues over a beer, looking over a rice field. I'm sure you do it better.
Me (thinking. Yes, sure;)
-Other Nepal, German might still be in Nepal.
German is the photographer of Fotomundos, he organizes the Thailand trip I'm going to.
I know him from the newsletter world. He also has a newsletter that I can't stop opening every day, because it's like getting into the secret diary of Indiana Jones.
But before you subscribe, I have to warn you that he will convince you to go on all his trips, because they are amazing. Here I am packing my bags for Thailand.
So I remembered that Germán was doing this “little” trip to Nepal.
I continue with the story:
Me
-German, are you still in Nepal?
German
-Yes, last day
Me:
-And you don't happen to have any rice paddies around there by any chance?
German
-Yes, lots of them.
Me (devising my strategy to search for Danios)
-And would you mind approaching with the camera and tell me if there is a lot of depth and if you see fish?
Germán
-😂 😂 😂 😂 it's all dry. The rice has already been harvested.
(Graphic proof of the rice harvest above)
Me (spooked)
- 😱😱😱😱 really???????????????
My poor subscribers are not going to be able to take this emotional back-and-forth!!!!!
-Juanillo, man, there's no more rice!
Juanillo
-Don't worry, you'll find them. They must have gone somewhere. I trust you.
Bring me some curry paste.
Me (still in shock)
-Okay.
Juanillo:
-Thank you. I'll make you croquettes.
Anyway, this mission is getting more complicated by the minute.
But don't suffer dear subscriber, if there is a single Danio in Thailand I will find it.
This is a matter of honor.
And I will take a picture of it, Germán teaches you how to take pictures.
In the hypothetical and improbable case that I don't find Danios, don't worry because I will see elephants, fluorescent placton, all the fauna and flora of the Thai jungle and even Nemo himself.
So I promise you won't get bored reading this newsletter these weeks.
And I will tell you about the life and miracles of every critter I see.
Germán's newsletter can be read here.
He still says that he is travelling with a very, very strange vet ...
A big hug
María
