English version below

-Mom, life really is super improbable.
That's what my son said to me yesterday as we walked the dogs down the poop and snail trail.
Clarification for the newbies: my son is 17 years old, smart as a bunny; I have 3 dogs; and I walk them through a dreadful dry land next to my house full as the name suggests of dog poop and snails. But also of life, we have counted 50 species of birds.
End of clarification
Well, after that phrase my son said to me, perhaps inspired by some snail on the way, you will understand that my newsletter detector went into cardiorespiratory arrest.
Think about what it means that you are alive right now, reading this beautiful morning reflection:
right planet, with the right temperature and humidity conditions (at least for the moment),
a soup of life begins to organize itself into self-reproducing cells with a membrane,
cyanobacteria begin to produce oxygen by the bucketful,
the cells begin to evolve and group into more complex living things,
after a billion evolutionary twists and turns, a species called Homo sapiens appears, and it is self-imposed as the protector of the planet,
two individuals of that species decide to join gametes at the right moment in which both carry the genetic information that defines you,
you manage to survive through your childhood and adolescent rampages,
and all of a sudden you look at a snail and think,
Wow, what a joke that I'm here alive, walking with my mommy in this beautiful garden.
Anyway, it is a miracle that you are here reading this.
And you have to take advantage of miracles. So enjoy your life.
