Buenas tardes, Txus.
Te sigo hace unas semanas y me encantan tus proyectos.
Que sólo come morera
Tanta morera le he dado
Que el gusano se ha engordado
Tolón tolón, tolón tolón
Este gusano es muy pillo
Ha hecho un capullo amarillo
Se convierte en mariposa
Con sus alas y sus cosas
Tolón tolón, tolón tolón
La mariposa se ha muerto
Y ya no estoy tan contento
Antes puso huevecillos
Voy a hacerme gusanero
Bombyx, the silkworm (English)
Un abrazo
Txus
This being a veterinary scientist is quite exhausting.
Yesterday I had quite a few shipments of danio eggs at home and danio in class and when I arrived at Villapez I found that almost all the water in an aquarium had leaked out because a rubber filter came loose.
The whole lab was full of water and the tank had two fingers.
The eggs arrived just in time for the shipment. Fortunately the fish are fine and I managed to put another filter. But these things happen from time to time. Don't think it's easy to set up something like this.
The fact is that yesterday I ended up burst and with a face of few friends.
But suddenly I see an e-mail with the subject: Song of the silkworm.
Good afternoon, Txus.
I've been following you for a few weeks and I love your projects.
With my children we raised silkworms 3 years in a row, when they were 6-8 years old (they are twins, boy and girl) and we sang them (yes, to the worms) a song. I don't know if it was invented in a camp or it really exists and someone else knows it, I share it with you to see if you like it.
Music from "I've got a milk cow".
I've got a silkworm
That only eats mulberry
So much mulberry I've given him
That the worm has grown so fat
Toodle-loo, toodle-loo, toodle-loo, toodle-loo
This worm is very naughty
It has made a yellow cocoon
It turns into a butterfly
With its wings and things
Chug chug chug, chug chug chug
The butterfly has died
And I'm not so happy anymore
She used to lay eggs
In the box and the aisle / they're yellow in color
Chug chug chug, chug chug chug
I have a million worms
Falling out of my hands
I'm going abroad
I'm going to become a wormery
Chug chug chug, chug chug chug
I hope it brought a smile to your face, the kids loved to sing it while they were being taken care of.
Best regards and thanks again for your projects.
Ana
I don't know how it will sound in English but in Spanish it is a fantastic adaptation of a well known children's song.
You will understand that it brought a smile to my face and I got rid of my anger and thought again that all this is worth it.
Thank you Ana for making my day.
I'm a terrible singer, but hey, maybe I'll be encouraged to include this song in next year's edition ;)
For now I have this to learn more about worms:
Bombyx, the silkworm (English)
Bombyx, the silkworm (English)
A hug
