English version below
Txus
Danio at home is not a toy.
If you have children and watch it with them it will be something they will never forget. But it's not something you can leave a child alone to fend for himself.
It's a living thing, very delicate, in fact.
If you take good care of it, it will grow and it will be an animal that you will have to commit to take care of and maintain.
Moreover, before buying it, you will have to sign an ethical and environmental commitment. You have to commit yourself to give it the care that I indicate in the program and not to release it into the environment.
The fact that you can see it from the time it is an embryo and know how it has been formed does not turn it into an object or an "experiment". In fact, it will increase the emotional bond you have with them and you will want to care for them more.
I see this all the time in schools. But not only that, they develop an empathy towards life that goes far beyond the tenderness that animals closer to us, such as puppies or kittens, generate in you.
Suddenly you see that a fish looks a lot like you (you share 80% of the genes with them). When I explain it to the children, I tap them on the shoulder and tell them: from here down you are like a fish. Of course, they all tell me no right off the bat).
And somehow you get the picture and you say, well, we are surrounded by life. And you are more aware of all the life around you even if they can't make "faces" like tiktok kittens.
Of course, if you don't really want to know what a living being is like, you can always watch Nemo and end up thinking that fish have no memory.
If you prefer a more real (and more exciting) version, I suggest this:
Everything in this link:
You have to read it all slowly before buying it. Only sent to Spain
