Los animales
Bueno, menos a mi sobrina Elisa.
Creo que es la única excepción que he encontrado.
A todos los demás les flipan los animales. Y viceversa. Existe una conexión especial entre niñ@s y animales.
Como madre veterinaria a la que por supuesto a sus hij@s les encantaban los bichos me dí cuenta de una cosa enseguida: cuando son pequeñ@s hay muchos libritos de animales, normalmente son historias humanizadas: la familia de conejitos, las ratoncitos vestidos con trajes rosas, como mucho te encuentras los animales de granja y sus sonidos…
Pero llega una edad en que ya no pueden seguir aprendiendo. Ahí aparecen los atlas con mil bichos en los que te aparece una característica de cada uno.
Así que en el Fabuloso Club Danio vamos a hacerlo guay. Cada mes vamos a aprender de un animal. ¿Cómo? yo os iré mandando emails con cosas curiosas sobre ellos, acceso a materiales míos y de otros que encuentre por internet…
Ahí tendréis suficientes cosas para ir profundizando en ese bicho en cuestión.
Vuestr@s hij@s y alumn@s podrán ir tirando de ese hilo y haciendo dibuj@s con lo que averigüen o les inspire.
Esos dibujos podrán compartirlos con otros miembros del club en la Comunidad privada. Y con los que más me inspiren haré algún vídeo o cuento final.
Es decir, serán parte activa, no meros receptores de información, en un tema que no tiene fallo: los animales.
Yo creo que en estos tiempos que corren donde recibimos miles de estímulos, es un aprendizaje valiosísimo.
Empezaremos con Danio, of course. Resulta que me voy a Nepal en Marzo, tierra de Danios. Y los buscaré ¿los encontraré? ni idea. Pero seguro que nos lo pasamos en grande buscándolos. En Tailandia ya vi danios, no exactamente Danio rerio “el nuestro”, sino otras especies del género Danio, pero disfrutamos un montón con su búsqueda.
Luego irán los gusanos de seda.
¿Y después? lo que ellos quieran. Propondré temas y que ell@s elijan.

The animals
Well, except for my niece Elisa.
I think she's the only exception I've found.
Everyone else is crazy about animals. And vice versa. There is a special connection between children and animals.
As a veterinarian mother whose children, of course, love animals, I realized one thing right away: when they are little, there are many little books about animals, but they are usually humanized stories: the family of bunnies, the little mice dressed in pink suits, at most you find farm animals and their sounds?
But there comes an age when they can no longer learn. That's when atlases appear with a thousand critters in which a characteristic of each one appears.
So in the Fabulous Danio Club we are going to make it cool. Each month we are going to learn about an animal, how? I will be sending you emails with curious things about them, access to my materials and others that I find on the internet...
There you will have enough stuff to go deeper into that particular critter.
Your children and students will be able to pull on this thread and make drawings with what they find out or what inspires them.
These drawings can be shared with other members of the club in the private community. And with the ones that inspire me the most, I will make a video or a final story.
That is to say, they will be an active part, not mere receivers of information, in a subject that has no failure: animals.
I believe that in these times where we receive thousands of stimuli, it is a very valuable learning experience.
We will start with Danio, of course. I happen to be going to Nepal in March, land of Danios. And I'll be looking for them, will I find them? But I'm sure we'll have a great time looking for them. In Thailand I already saw danios, not exactly Danio rerio “ours”, but other species of the genus Danio, but we had a lot of fun looking for them.
