I have spoken many times here about how addictive the RRSS, cell phones and other screens are and the havoc that this can wreak on a developing brain.
Addictions are fundamentally mediated by a neurotransmitter called Dopamine. I have also told you about that. To say Dopamine poop is exaggerating because without it we could not live. We would literally die of grief. The problem is when it goes out of control.
Well, the other day I found someone in these worlds of substack who explained it very well. The project is called Mental Garden and I loved this post where he talks about pigeons, dopamine and RRSS.
And you know that there are always alternatives to avoid giving a cell phone to the little ones and start shooting their dopamine spikes without sense.
One of them is to read them stories. It has been done all their lives. It works very well. I have a really cool one.
