Txus
This is Bombyx, Bombyx mori. Bombyx mori is the name of the domestic silkworm.
So Bombyx is the protagonist of his own story. He tells it to you in first person. As you can see, he is born very hairy. In fact in Japan silkworms are called hairy babies when they are born.
You've probably never seen him like that. The reason is that this is a picture taken with the danioscope. The story is full of images made with the danioscope: ways of seeing silkworms different from the way we have always seen them.
Okay, so look.
This baby eats, grows and then turns into a butterfly. It's a beautiful life cycle because the individual from birth to adulthood changes so much.
And it's so beautiful that you teach children a lot about it.
You can teach this in the classroom or at home. Have some silkworms and let them see the process live. There are not many animals that allow you to do this.
And you can, at the same time that they have their little worms, read them a story. This way, on top of that, they will learn more things and work on reading and writing.
This is what is called a learning situation. If you didn't know how to make a learning situation with the little ones, now you know one.
And if you buy it before Sunday I will give you another story in PDF, A María Luisa le gusta un pez.
A hug
María
