Picasso no empezó pintando El Guernica.
Txus
As I told you the other day, this week is about bugs.
I want to do something to make children aware that bugs are important.
I am going to make a drawing contest. Of bugs.
I know I have more than one drawer out there preparing their drawings, so here are the rules:
This week (and possibly next week) I will talk about bugs. This information can help you to deal with the topic in class or at home. I want your children or students to understand that bugs are not gross. They are just another type of animal, but on top of that, they are super necessary for the balance of the ecosystem.
With what you talk about, let them start drawing. When my children learned something or felt inspired, they immediately took a piece of paper and drew a picture. I guess at first I would tell them. But then it was automatic. That's great. It's mindfulness, remember the block on the benefits of meditation. If you don't have notebooks for them to do it, you know I sell very nice ones with animals that you can compare here:
When they finish drawing, let them put their name, age and place of origin. Take a picture and upload it here:
Any child up to 12 years old can participate. No minimum age. If you make 4 scratches, you are welcome.
Participating in the contest implies acceptance of the legal conditions. It is possible (not sure) that I take some of these drawings, reinterpret them and put them in a story. As a curiosity I will tell you that I have copied the rules of the Tostarrica cookies.
I will make a pre-selection of about 10 or so and I will put them in this newsletter. The final winner will be voted.
To those 10 I will send the story of A María Luisa le gusta un pez in electronic format. And to the first three I will send a copy of my next story: Bombyx, the silkworm. I am so happy because I have already written it, I did the first printing tests and I have sent it to my toughest critics (and they love it!). It will be also in English, so please participate!
You have until Sunday, March 10, 2024
The result of the contest will be announced in the newsletter, so you'll have to stay tuned.
Best regards
María
