¡Qué a gusto me encuentro!
Txus
As I was telling you yesterday, I am in a congress in Santiago de Compostela of veterinary scientists.
What a pleasure I feel!
Here anyone can say incredible things about the most varied bugs, big and small, disgusting and beautiful, with and without wings or fins, that nobody looks at you with incomprehension, but with frank interest.
Chic@, I'm in my element.
I'm as happy as a lark.
Yesterday was a day of wonderful reunions with my friends and catching up on our lives. My newsletter topic detector was ecstatic.
But among all the stories, which I will tell you later, I will keep this one.
Jose Antonio, works at the University of Lleida. He is the tallest veterinarian in the whole society, he is a very nice person and he knows a lot about birds, because he has worked a lot of years in poultry farming.
He told us the incredible story (with theatrical representation and everything) of how a chick is born.
And now comes the incredible part: chicks can only hatch if their heads are tucked under the right wing. If this is not the case, they have serious difficulties to hatch from the egg. None of us ecstatic listeners knew this curious fact.
I told him that I was writing stories about real animals for children and he liked it very much.
So when I finish with the cormorants, my next story is going to be about a chick that had a hard time getting out of the egg,
Can you guess why?
Indeed, he had his head in the wrong place.....
My cover will be the one above. And it will be also in English.
To be continued...
A hug
María
